Land of the Free?

That the US is no longer the freest nation on the planet is one that draws more consensus than the popularity of our President as we become aware that more and a higher population per capita in the US is under strict control of our prison system than anywhere in the world. According to the AP story below, stats released in the fall confirm that we break a new record. And records are something the US is known for, but criminal records?

DC cont'd - Of this, many are proud, assuming that an imprisoned people are a safe people. One hears arguments like:

• At least we got our criminals off the streets
• They were found guilty by there peers; they must be scumbags
• If you use drugs, you should go to prison (of course, alcohol is not a drug)
• If you so much as look at child wrong, you must be a pedophile (and we all hate pedophiles)
• If the majority doesn't like it; it should be against the law.
• The list goes on...

Now, it seems to me, if I wanted to get elected to congress, each of those talking points would get me votes, and that makes us the greatest Democracy in the world, right? Wrong!

It means that any larger group can remove any smaller group by passing a law making it illegal to be a minority. The only minorities that are specifically protect from this tyranny of the majority are :

• Women ( a majority of the population, but still defined as a minority)
• Religions (though a majority are religious, and when combined, can elect anyone that says he is a Christian)
• People over 45 ( though they hold 90% of the assets)
• Immigrants (legal or otherwise)
• Races (other than whites) though when combined with any other member of this list, make a majority
• The unborn (well, they are getting there)
• Indigenous populations (though owning a casino pays okay, I hear)
• Again, the list goes on.

According to the most recent statistics, from 1995 to 2003, inmates incarcerated in federal prisons for drug offenses have accounted for 49 percent of total prison population growth.

On face value, we have bought into the idea that they are all drug dealers and contribute to violent crime, but a closer look tells us that most were simply recreation users, who had never been so much as suspected before, of violent crimes.

In some states, you can actual go to prison longer if you have less drugs in your possession, than more. More than a certain amount, makes it a federal case and people go to prison and serve on average, one month for each year sentenced before they get out on parole. The guy that had more than an ounce of marijuana, but less than a pound, could very well spend 10 years behind bars if he lives in a minimum sentence state like Michigan.

Meanwhile, a person of foreign origin, who is transporting 750 pounds of marijuana in his van across the US border, can hop out and run and border officers may not shoot to stop his fleeing. One such case in which border officers allegedly shot a Mexican drug dealer in the buttocks cheek after he allegedly pointed a gun at these officers; well you may have heard, he was let go and the two officers were prosecuted and put in prison for a long time. The real criminal, came back later and continued his regular deliveries of drugs across the border.


In Atlanta, in the case of 17 year old Genarlow Wilson, a local black high school football hero, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for basically receiving oral sex while drunk from an avid 15 year old fan at a party. Videos taken at the party by friends indicated he took no active part in soliciting the act.

According to Findlaw: Because Wilson and a 15-year-old girl engaged in nonprocreative sex, his conduct fell squarely within the terms of the aggravated child molestation statute. And though the Georgia legislature subsequently passed a "Romeo and Juliet Law" limiting sentences in cases like Wilson's to one year of incarceration, this law was not written to apply retroactively... more

The incredible thing was that he would have gotten only one year if he had full intercourse with her.

So, let's sum this up.

If you are otherwise law-abiding and peaceful and want to alter your mind by using drugs that do less damage and are less addictive than alcohol, you can go to prison. If you steal billions of dollars from investors by fraud and have a good lawyer (and you will because you are rich) you will never do a day in prison.

Clearly, these laws have nothing to do with criminality, but are intended to enforce a moral code inflicted by a small religious faction in America who use fear mongering to scare the rest of us into passing laws to put people they hate in prison.

The more political and obfuscated reality is, these people are seen as a threat to the establishment and must be permanently removed from the voter rolls. They must permanently be deprived, even after release from prison from exercising the right to bear arms, (so there go your freedom fighters). It is well designed to permanently disenfranchise millions of Americans from ever contributing to a revolution either peaceful or otherwise.

So much for US freedom now and the prospect for ever getting it back! Meanwhile, if the people we imprison now were not criminals before they went in, they will most certainly be criminals by the time they get out, as they are now graduates of the university of crime.

Plight of the Intruder: Social Disconnect of Minorities and Whites in LA

White Latinos are quite common, as the “Castillano” bloodline is alive and well in Mexico and other Latin American nations. It is important to understand the foundation of white racism that grows from Mexico City to feed the same forms in LA. It is important to note that most upper class Mexicans consider themselves to be “Spanish” before Mexican, separating themselves from the masses.

Black Latinos are common as well; "Mulattos" are rather low on the social scale though, in fact below the "Mestizo" or indigenous populations of Latin America.

The oligarchy of Mexico is extreme and has left its people with great temptation to leave. One can hardly blame the immigrants themselves, whether legal or not. “Coyotes” , those who assist illegal immigrants in their border crossing, are mercenaries who will take poor people’s money, and stuff them into various spaces as cargo to be smuggled, many of whom die in passage, much like black slaves in ships in early US History.

As for conspiracies, that implies a plan. It would require affirmative activity. In this case, there is a deadly apathy on the part of the larger part of whites in LA as to the plight of Black and Brown. We typically find a highly insulated white community tucked away behind gates, driving past the neighborhoods on superhighways which allow them to simply ignore poor people.

There is no political will among whites to solve the problems as those who can afford it, put their kids in private schools or rich sub-municipalities like Beverly Hills, further insulating them from concern, i.e. "Valley Girls" and the like.

The only exposure they have to the inner cities is through the movies, just like the rest of America, which is replete with racial stereotypes at best and ignorance at least.

Many books have been written on these subjects and an article hardly does justice, but to stimulate further research.

It should be noted that this form of racism in the form of apathy, is pervasive in LA, San Francisco, Houston and Atlanta; basically anywhere one finds high black and Latino populations. Sadly, what happens in LA is an indicator of what will and has already happened in the other cities. As LA has, for many years now, seen movements to secede from the city, so have cities like Atlanta experienced powerful, well funded movements to leave the inner cities without funding from their suburban counterparts.

In LA, the San Fernando Valley has attempted such secession and in Atlanta, the wealthy northern suburbs of N. Fulton Co. have recently attempted to leave, to form their own county. It is yet to be seen if the state of Georgia, long led by rural racists, will allow this abandonment. In LA, it seems to be under control at the moment, but LA has already suffered disenfranchisement in the form of enclaves like the cities of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Malibu.

Meanwhile, the violent intrusion of Latino gangs into traditionally black neighborhoods in South Central LA, Compton and surrounding areas, has led to horrific and much ignored suffering and death.

One is left with the question, if blacks have to flee Compton for fear of their lives, where can they live?

Obama's Secret Service Detail: An Omen To Assassination?

Today, I was was terrified at the notion that someone assumed Barrack Obama needed a secret service detail more than any other. Admittedly, Hillary already has one because she was once a first lady, but that there may be something more to this than that he is black is a thought that is hard to avoid.

You have to wonder if Obama himself has the right to screen these agents? Can he somehow test their loyalty? A lie detector test? Psych profile? Personal interview?

We must hearken back to JFK, RFK, MLK Jr, and even JFK Jr to recall a huge, deserving suspicion of the government itself. The mysteries surrounding all of these deaths would make any nervous politician consider early retirement.

The facts that come to mind are that in each case, there should have been excessive caution yet they lost their lives anyway. In the case of JFK: His entire regular secret service detail was replaced that mournful deathday. His supposedly highly trained driver did the opposite of his training and slowed to allow several easy shots for the triangulation team. MLK had been threatened daily yet it is likely his men let their guard down. Most still assume that JFK Jr. simply fell out of the sky onto his mother's beach at Martha's Vineyard only minutes after radioing into the tower. Despite his never having flown without an instructor by his side before and his leg in a cast, we were supposed to believe he chose this day to go it alone behind the wheel, with his wife and sister on board. We are supposed to believe he waited 45 minutes beyond his proposed departure, though all passengers had arrived, for no reason at all.

The biggest question one should consider is, whether or not Obama is feared by the establishment. Do they believe he will stop their flow of blood-money? Do they believe he will open Pandora's box on previous assassinations and corruption? Do they believe he will keep his word and shut them down on all fronts?

If the answers to these questions leaves the "powers that be" scratching their heads, could even the most loyal Secret Service team stop them from breaking our hearts by taking yet another bright star's life? We are in an era of unparalleled corruption in government and in the private sector which seems to control everything we hold dear. Frankly, suspicions could go in either direction. If Obama makes it to an election, would not some suspect he is in someone's protection other than the Secret Service? If he dies, will it be a result of his naivety and a driven evil deeper than anyone remembers or knows.

I can say this: If Obama falls prey to an assassin's bullet, I feel sorry for anyone standing in the way of angry mobs seeking redress. Few have considered that violence in America today is at least partially a form of slow revolution. If Obama were killed, what could possibly stop the explosion of anger that would ensue?

Update on Earlier Reporting: Ethnic Cleansing of Blacks By Latino Gangs in LA

CNN has finally been reporting that "Latino Gangs Killing Blacks In L.A." which has been the case since well before the slaying of Lynwood, CA High School Principal Gary Beverly in a drive by shooting, more than 10 years ago.

It has been no secret among police and citizens in these areas and each incident is reported as if there is no connection between them. Putting the dots together finally, the mainstream is saying, "Oh yeah!"

Though I have been researching and writing about it as a first hand observer, a teacher and grant-writer for Gang Prevention, living in it, seeing the countless deaths of students and other innocents; I tell you it is calculated, planned, premeditated and encouraged by governments south of the US.

Fox and Many Blacks Attack Obama--FOX-Objective, Fair News?

Several interviews on all media suggest an outright opposition to Barack Obama strictly on the basis that "he is not black enough" or that he does not come from slave descendants. In recent polls (especially Fox) Obama does better among whites than blacks, and Hillary Clinton does better than he among blacks. This is a surprise.

What is not surprising is Fox News, the admittedly conservative alternative "Fair and Balanced" news source. Fox continues to tout itself as "America's most trusted source", yet consistently professional journalists who have exited the organization have horror stories about their intentional political agenda while pretending to be a balanced source. Recently outed as a "neocon" organization by the documentary film Outfoxed, Fox has no shame in unfairly bashing Obama as he seems to threaten Republican chances.

In this video, we see a juxtaposition of several sources and their vilification and negative connotations, as well as parody from, of course the Daily Show.
